Objective:

"Contribute to the training of high-level university specialists with economic skills enabling them to participate in the development of Ukraine's international economic activities, particularly economic relations with the European Union."

Description :

The establishment of European studies programs in the CIS countries is an essential part of cooperation between the European Union and the countries of the post-Soviet space.

The main outcome of the project is the implementation of a new specialization in European Studies, which has been launched at Donetsk National Technical University, Luhansk National University of Eastern Ukraine, and Kharkiv National Technical University. The programs were adopted by the Scientific Councils and approved by the federal authorities. The specialization was opened to first-year students at the start of the 2005/2006 academic year. The rectors of Ukrainian universities proposed using the opening of this new specialization as an example of Ukraine's integration into the Bologna process. Students take courses in European economics and management, European entrepreneurship, European trade, the economics of European integration, economic relations between Ukraine and Europe, European intercultural management, etc.
