The Faculty of Economics offers a variety of teaching methods: face-to-face, distance learning, initial training, continuing education and sandwich courses.
Not sure what each of these terms means? We'll explain everything below, so you can make the right choice according to your situation, your desires and your objectives.
* Please note: these teaching methods are not always available for all our courses. Find out more before applying by consulting the page dedicated to the course you are interested in.
Face-to-face teaching
This is the "classic" teaching method, and the most widespread: all our courses are offered face-to-face.
Students attend classes on the Grenoble or Valence campus, depending on the course they choose.
Initial training
Initial training corresponds to a first cycle of studies, before entering the workforce. It's a complete training program for people who qualify for student status. All our courses are available as initial training.
Distance learning (EAD)
Distance learning enables students who are unable to attend on-site courses to benefit from comprehensive support thanks to innovative teaching methods (MOOCs, forums, online platforms).
If you haven't been a student for two years or more, whether you're working or not, then you're eligible for continuing education. This allows you to deepen your skills, update your professional knowledge or retrain for a new career. All our training courses are available as continuing education.
Alternance is an apprenticeship program that emphasizes the professionalization of students, enabling them to spend part of the year on the job.
The term can refer to two types of contractapprenticeship contracts and professionalization contracts.
It does not, however, cover internships, which are offered in many training programs outside the alternance system.
